At TCGplayer the Product Team plays a crucial organizational role. This team defines features, plans roadmaps, oversees implementation, and measures the impact of every product at TCGplayer. The Product Team acts in a cross-functional leadership role when working with all of the different departments (Technology, Marketing, CX, Sales, etc.) across TCGplayer, and unites them in order to deliver the company's vision and strategy.

What You'll Do

As a Product Manager in the Hobbyist Systems Group, you will influence our product roadmaps, bringing new features and optimizing existing products for our community of gamers and help to shape the world’s leading marketplace for collectables. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll out products that support the company’s goals. This specific role will be responsible for working within the Hobbyist Systems Group to help drive the next generation of TCGplayer’s Marketplace and Content offerings.   • Drive product success by owning and leading critical projects within the Hobbyist Systems Group, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to collaborate on and achieve clearly defined goals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Leverage quantitative analysis to uncover valuable product opportunities and assess their impact on user experience and business growth
  • Utilize qualitative methodologies to empathize with customers, identify their needs, and transform insights into actionable problem statements, supported by customer validation and usability testing
  • Effectively communicate customer needs, value propositions, and user journeys to create a shared vision across the organization
  • Strategically define and prioritize epics, goals, user stories, requirements, and success metrics to align product development with customer expectations
  • Clearly articulate project goals and key phases, proactively managing risks using Risk Action Issue Detection (RAID), and maintaining project roadmaps
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by evaluating, resolving, and escalating project-level issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Embrace transparency in prioritization and roadmap processes, fostering trust and open communication among team members and stakeholders
  • Actively support the needs of non-technical teams, such as Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience, to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment
  • Skillfully prioritize while balancing the needs of internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of high-impact product enhancements
  • Contribute to and enhance our existing collaborative work environment by championing open communication and teamwork across departments

What You Bring to the Team

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Manager, designing and developing software solutions
  • Experience working in a software development environment with Agile SDLC methodologies
  • MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in product metrics and KPIs, with a track record of making data-driven decisions
  • Ability to effectively allocate resources to achieve optimal outcomes

You’ll Go Beyond If You Have

  • Experience in the gaming industry or collectibles
  • Product management experience on a platform, marketplace, or other ecommerce product
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, content marketing, Google Ads & Merchant Center, and Customer Data Platforms
  • Product Owner, Product Manager or Scrum Master certification

Compensation

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected in the salary range below:

$79,000-$120,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
