The Granicus Accounting team is a dynamic and high performing group that partners with both internal and external customers to drive success for the Company. We are looking for a motivated and effective leader to be the senior of technical accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate would be resourceful, flexible with requests, enjoys solving problems and is effective at managing relationships and communicating. This position can be based in St. Paul, MN, Denver, CO, Washington, D.C. or Remote in the US or Canada.
Essential Functions:
•Support Sr. manager as a SME to technical accounting matters, including research and documentation of complex and non-standard transactions, such as M&A and debt financing transactions
•Keep track of recently issued accounting pronouncements and applicability to the Company
•Prepare accounting whitepapers and transaction analysis on key transactions and accounting issues
•Provide support for the quarterly debt covenant calculation and financial statements for lender reporting
•Evaluate existing financial reporting process and identify room for improvement
•Prepare the year-end financial statements and related footnotes for the audit
•Provide technical accounting support to revenue accounting team on complex matters
•Support Corporate Controller and Sr. Manager in maintaining corporate accounting policies to ensure US GAAP compliance
•Provide post-acquisition integration support to the acquired company team members
•Support year-end audit requests and auditor questions
•Assist the team with large one-off projects
Security Requirement:
Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.
Qualifications:
•3+ years of accounting experience, with 1-2 years in technical accounting and/or financial reporting
•BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent
•CPA preferred
•Big 4 experience preferred
•Experience with M&A, debt financing, and SaaS industry a big plus
•Comprehensive and current understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
•Strong Excel skills
•Outstanding oral and written communication skills
•Detail-oriented, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
•Adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
•Demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
